Call for Tenders: provision of floor staff Europa Experience Multimedia Centre Dublin
The European Parliament has launched a call for tenders to select an agency to provide floor staff for the Europa Experience. At the time of the publication of this call for tenders, the start of operation is tentatively foreseen for April 2024. The precise schedule will be communicated to the successful tenderer. It is expected that the official inauguration will be preceded by a “soft” opening that will allow a gradual uptake of service provision.
As parts of its visitors’ strategy, the European Parliament (EP) is opening Europa Experience multimedia centres in all EU countries. This communication project has three main objectives:
- Showcasing Europe as a whole and ensuring people understand the impact of the European parliamentary democracy - the European Parliament - on their lives.
- Providing great interactive, modern and up to date content on the EU, its actors, challenges and achievements to EU citizens, while emphasising their role in the European Parliamentary democracy.
- Going local and reaching out to citizens in the Member States in a relevant, efficient and cost effective way.
The Europa Experience (EuEx) in Dublin will be located at Europe House, Chatham Street, Dublin D02 VP46 and will occupy approximately 570 m2 spread over four floors. It will consist of several themed areas devoted to a general explanation of the EP, its functioning, the history of the EU and how the work of the European institutions and the Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) influences the daily life of European citizens.
The purpose of this invitation to tender is to outsource a number of staff activities to a service provider (Contractor) who will provide the necessary personnel (floor staff) for services such as reception and facilitation or similar services in the Europa Experience.
