This unique evening centres on a screening of North Circular, the acclaimed documentary-musical by Dublin filmmaker Luke McManus. Travelling along Dublin's North Circular Road, the film weaves together music, history and personal stories to create a vivid portrait of one of the city's most fascinating neighbourhoods. Through songs, performances and encounters with local residents, North Circular explores how place, memory and community are intertwined.

Following the screening, audiences will have the opportunity to hear directly from director Luke McManus in a live interview with filmmaker Kevin Brannigan featuring an audience Q&A, offering insights into the making of the film, the stories behind it, and the importance of neighbourhoods in shaping our sense of identity and belonging.

The evening will feature also a live musical performance by singer Annie Hughes, whose haunting voice can be heard in the film, bringing the spirit of North Circular from the screen into the room.

As Open House Dublin 2026 explores the theme of Neighbourhood, this event invites audiences to reflect on the places we call home, the communities that sustain us, and the cultural traditions that connect us. Through film, conversation and music, North Circular reveals how a single road can tell the story of a city and the people who live there.

Running time approximately 2.5 hours, including film screening, Q&A and live music.
