Experience French cinema, language and culture with our selection of family friendly animated short films to mark France's National Day, in partnership with the Embassy of France in Ireland. Family activities and a series of five French produced short films will run in our 360 degree cinema from 2:00pm on July 12th. 

Free, no booking required. 

Part of the Embassy of France in Dublin's Bastille Day 2026 celebrations, offering a nationwide celebration with film screenings (1-19 July) at partner venues in CorkDublin and Dún Laoghaire, a festive gathering at The Church Bar & Restaurant in Dublin on July 14th, and an online programme featuring films and competitions with great prizes to win.

Kayak

On a peaceful summer day, a dad takes his baby son on a kayak day trip. Between the challenges of a first river outing and the baby’s whims the father will not have a relaxing day, especially when an eagle joins the adventure.

A fire breaks out in the Amazon rainforest, and frightened animals flee their habitat to seek refuge on the other side of the river. Only a small hummingbird stubbornly persists in fighting the blaze when it spots a sloth and its baby trapped amidst the flames.
