Euroscola competitions

Our Liaison Office runs a video competition for secondary school students taking part in the European Parliament Ambassador School (EPAS) programme in Ireland. Competition winners win a subsidised trip to take part in a Euroscola session in the European Parliament in Strasbourg.

Our 2026 Euroscola Competition for EPAS schools

As European citizens, no matter where we live, how we make our living or how we spend our time, the EU has an impact on our daily lives. Whether it be in the area of social rights, the environment, online safety, travel, foods, consumer policy, the list is endless. The EU also invests in our towns, cities and regions, making them better places to live in.

We would like secondary school students (in the EPAS programme) to create a 1-minute YouTube video showing the impact of membership on you, your family or your region.

The competition is open to all secondary schools in Ireland taking part in the European Parliament Ambassador School (EPAS) programme.

Deadline for entries: 16 October 2026.

For further details, email youth-epdublin@ep.europa.eu or call 01-605 7900.

Our 2025 Euroscola Competition: Safeguarding European Democracy

Given the many challenges faced by democracy in Europe today, we asked students to create a 1-minute video clip, in English or Irish, showing how they could play a part in safeguarding European democracy in the EU.

We received a diverse range of entries - including rap songs, role play sketches, news reports - that explored fact-checking, the role of AI in disinformation, the importance of voting, and key threats to democracy along with practical ways to address them.
